[ he laughs a bit because yes, tatsuma is right. there is no difference but souji likes to believe. ]

All right, then let's give the ring toss a shot. With you on my back, maybe you'll have an advantage of being up higher.

[ off they go to that area! souji will carefully pull out his wallet to pay for a few rings while making sure that tatsuma doesn't fall off ]

[Off they go! He smiles brightly enough as the admittedly baffled booth clerk hands over the rings. From his perch, Tatsuma ducks down slightly, tossing a ring in an underhand throw.

It falls right in between bottles. Accuracy with projectiles is apparently not his greatest strength.]

...Oops.

[ souji just laughs a bit before he picks up a ring as well. this is very difficult to do all this while holding onto tatsuma but he gives a weak throw and... it lands in between the bottles as well ]

It's all right. Looks like I'm not that good either.

[ he laughs again ]

[He peers at the bottles, and the couple scattered rings that are actually looped around the bottle necks.]

I wonder how many people actually won...

[And how many were just placed there. Still, he takes up another ring and tosses and-!

Nope, no dice.]

Hmm... let me try something.

[ souji doesn’t pick up another ring but instead, he puts his hand out forward. the usual blue tarot card appears but rather than crushing it, he flips it. it disappears into the air and that’s when he picks up a ring. he pauses as he does a few practise throws but he then lets it go and... ]

[ ... hey! it landed on a bottle! now one that’ll get them a huge prize, just a tiny on but that’s still pretty good ]

The clerk however just seems surprised he won at all! Er, what did you want, sir?]

[ souji just smiles, pretending that he didn’t just use a persona to cheat, and just looks at tatsuma over his shoulder ]

What do you want?

[He doesn't sound very enthusiastic, though.]

[ the clerk hands over the prize but souji just looks up at tatsuma with a puzzle expression? ]

What's wrong?

[He tilts his head into Souji's shoulder, murmuring so softly, the stall owner can't possibly hear.]

Cheeeeeeeeater.

[...But it's also so playfully said, even in the flat tone, he can't truly be serious.]

[ he laughs when he hears tatsuma and he begins to move away from the booth after they get their prize (which he'll give to tatsuma to hold) ]

Hey now, I think I just evened the playing field.

[ but as he walks, he sees another booth and hey, one of the prizes is a cute strawberry plush that you linked on plurk ]

All right, how about I win you that strawberry one fair and square?

[What a totally random coincidence. Even he can't help but perk up a bit at the sight, the cat tucked into the crook of one elbow.]

[It's an excellent plush for sure, but don't dump all your cash into a rigged game, Souji...]
