Yeah! As long as you have some really nice designs like the one you have on your site, you'll be fine. I've seen people selling their own original art and lots of things that weren't anime-related during the con.
[ will they have their doujin done by august though... ]
[ he'll grab out his own phone now so he can open up the tumblr app and show off what his blog is like. this is his main art blog so it just has some of his art along with promotional posts of the new prints or charms he's selling. his online persona apparently seems to be a tiny person in a gas mask and hoodie and going by the name of zen. hmmmmm ]
It'd take some time at first, but if you draw enough fandom-related things, you'll get a lot of followers and then it'd become easier to promote whatever you want to sell.
Heheh, some of these are my best sellers actually.
[ he’s a little embarrassed as he says that but he does seem kind of proud. he’s been working hard to make a presence online for himself ]
Fandom is like... a fan base! So if you make things that the fan base of a certain series might like, it’d get more noticed. Stuff like fan art gets attention pretty quickly.
Um, it's not as popular as things like Strike on Giant or the Destiny/Stay Day series but it's recognizable enough? There's definitely still fans around and tumblr makes it easy enough to find other fans of the same series.
Hmm, I'm not too sure. I never sold anything Shiki's Magic related before, but we could take preorders? That'll help us order the right number of doujins and then we can have some extras to put for sale online and in cons.
[ and then out of the blue, naegi's phone (which he still has in his hand) blares out the loudest and most overdramatic alarm ever, causing him to have a goddamn heart attack ]

What about the doujin? Would that work?
no subject
The doujin would definitely work! If we post some sample pictures online like on Twitter and Tumblr, we could generate some interest as well.

Do you have both?
no subject
Yeah, I have accounts for both sites and I use them pretty frequently. It's a good way to get yourself known as an artist and to promote your stuff.

Can you show me those too?

[Hmm! He scrolls through the art, smiling a bit when he sees a few pieces in particular.]
I remember those.

How popular is Shiki's Magic?

Think it'd sell...?
[He's pretty confident he can paint the youkai, especially. Their ethereal natures lend themselves well to painting in general.]

[He can probably work on some other series if that would be better.]

S-Sorry about that. I-I totally forgot that this was still on...

Well. That happened.
After the initial look of surprise, Tatsuma's expression shifts back to a smile.]
It's nice music.

[ that intense piano, intimidating naegi into actually doing work instead of procrastinating ]

[He doesn't find it to be all that intimidating. Just intense.]
